CoreTherm^® patient specific thermal therapy for BPH uses microwave-generated heat to destroy excess prostate tissue. With CoreTherm^®, the physician regulates both the amount of microwave energy and the treatment time on an individual basis, based on the actual temperature measured in the prostate.

CoreTherm^® uses a transurethral catheter containing a microwave antenna and an intraprostatic probe with three temperature sensors.
